What is Vane Loop?

Vane Loop is a platform for discovering, measuring, and maximizing the value of data. It gives data and analytics teams a dedicated workspace to catalogue their data products and AI products, model the value those products generate, and plan the strategic work that grows that value over time.

How it works

Vane Loop is built around three interconnected concepts.

Portfolio Items

A Portfolio Item is the central unit of work in Vane Loop. It represents an AI use-case or a data product — a dataset, a model, a report, a pipeline, or an AI solution — whose value you want to understand. You catalogue your Portfolio Items, attach cost and savings information, and build a value model around each one.

Drivers

Drivers are the levers that determine how feasible an Portfolio Item can be executed. Each driver is assessed across three dimensions — Governance, Architecture, and People — reflecting the organizational, technical, and human factors that affect feasibility. Drivers can be scored through our AI Agent that produce a maturity rating, giving you a data-driven picture of where each product stands and what's holding it back.

Initiatives

Initiatives are the projects and improvements that move your Portfolio forward. You attach initiatives to model how a planned investment would change value, maturity, or capabilities. This connects strategy to execution: you can see not just where you are today, but what a specific initiative would unlock.
